All right, here's my attempt at beginning a collection of photos to use when I teach Shakespeare next month. I'm thinking of using Flickr somehow in an introduction, perhaps getting students to share and/or annotate them. Any other bright ideas out there, I'd love to hear them.

Chris,
I think linking photos to places or settings in relation to authors or literature is a fantastic idea! I could see younger students fascinated with real pictures from locations in a novel they are reading in school.

I wonder if you could use photos from Flickr (or something similar) and have kids create their own (or a collaborative) timeline for Shakespeare's life and times...this could be done on a bulletin board or something similar, or could be done virtually using a wiki or Voicethreads. If you used voicethreads, they could find and add photos on a particular topic/time related to Shakespeare's life and then record their voices to narrate the 'story' of Shakespeare's life.
